twenty five

IMG_3609

I had a birthday party with my Tokyo family a few days before the actual day of my wombexpeliversary and the night began with nomihodai (all you can drink) dinner at Bangkok Spice in Nakameguro –> nijikai (2nd party) at Futbol Cerveceria ONCE down the street –> sanjikai (3rd party) and ended with dancing at V2 in Roppongi.

my friend Kentaro brought the sash, which says honjitsu no shuyaku which means “today’s leading character”. Several Japanese people pointed to it and started speaking to me rapid-fire, to which I responded by pointing to myself, squealing “tanjobi!!!” (birthday) and enveloping the stranger with a smile and a hug. I watched the sun come up the next morning in the quiet streets of Aoyama after dancing all night and I love those little hours when no one else is around and your sense of space and time is limitless. I had so much fun! thanks to everyone for celebrating with me : )
